I am an informal educator, based in Montreal, Quebec.

My life-long interest is learning! My passion is science.

 

This is my first foray into online education for a degree, and all of the online training that I have tried (namely for WHMIS certification) has shown me how a well-conceived and executed computer-based training tools can make a difference in the student's understanding.

The MET program has brought me into a circle of teachers and students with varied skillsets and backgrounds. I find that I learn as much by reading the written thoughts of my classmates as I do from reading the resources provided in the modules.

As a storyteller, I find the connection between audience and story-weaver very important. As a writer, the edits and re-edits before going to press are just as valuable. I look forward to exploring the theme of orality and literacy this session!
